Happy Birthday

credit: Color Me Happy by Melany Violette: Simply Clean Digi Scraps

Journaling reads:
HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS!!

How is it possible that an entire year has gone by since the first moment I laid eyes on you? Wasn’t it just last week that you were so tiny and helpless? And now, here you are. A big girl who can say a few words and who is walking all over the house. It’s gone so quickly - too quickly. I’m not ready for you to be so big already. But as much as I miss your newborn days, your infant days and your baby days, I am loving watching you grow into a toddler. Seeing you discover the world around you.

Through you, I am young again. Through you I am experiencing life anew.

I love you!

Artistic

Journaling reads:

You know
how to
Shine

You can’t help yourself - there is just something about the draw of paint - you simply MUST paint yourself.

I’m not sure how this started but I do know that you are incapable of creating art without also creating it on your body. We’ve given up on trying to keep you from doing it. We just strip you down and let you go.
You have this great saying which is completely true. You will tell us:
“I am artistic!”
And that you are, my sweet boy.

SALE TIME!!!!!!

How can you not go shopping?!?! This is a great sale and she has some awesome kits (lots of great boy colors too for those of you with boys). So get moving!! It's sale time!

Journaling reads:
I have loved these feet from the first moment I saw them - so tiny and new.
You’re almost four now and yet, whenever I hold your small feet in my hands
I am transported back in time to when your baby feet where exactly
the same size as the length of my middle finger.
I have always loved your feet - and I still love to hold them in my hand.
They are perfect - just like you.

You two love each
other so much and
not a day goes by
when you aren’t hugging, snuggling,
playing and wrestling together.
It’s amazing and wonderful

It’s a gift I never imagined and we are all so blessed.

Grow Baby, Grow!

Both are from ScrapArtist.com (Thank You, Tracey!!)
Font is Scriptina.

Wow. I actually completed a page. I'm amazed. It's been a long four days with both kidlets sick and very little sleep to be had but yesterday a friend sent a gift certificate to one of my favorite digi stores and I just *had* to go shopping. I bought so many fun new things and even branched out and bought some "brushes" which is a technique I've never before used. BIG FUN!! I had a blast learning how to import the brushes and use them...I see hours of fun in my future now that I can change their color, shape and size. :)

I know this page is rather simple but I think it really lets the photograph shine. My baby - she sure is growing quickly!

Q&A Time

The Question:

seasonalkat said...
Where do you get all these kits? Are they from some central online place, or gathered from all over??

The Answer:
Thanks for asking. I obtain the kits from various places. Some are free, some I've paid for. The Rough and Tumble kit I used (below) I received for free when I attending a chat via ScrapArtist.com. The pages "Dreams" and "So New" were also made from free kits. "The Crazy Family" and A "Mother's Love" were kits I bought. The same is true for "Sweet Love".

The Sweet Shoppe is selling a collection of eight kits for an amazing price of $2.49. I would really encourage purchasing this set in you want to get your feet wet without sinking a lot of money into it.

Otherwise, there are lots of places that has free kits available for downloading. Click here to see my previous post with lots of fun links.

By the way, Tracey, A's birth announcement looks like you are already into scrapping. Are you? I love what you did - it's GREAT!! :)

Dare To Explore

I made this page from a kit called Rough and Tumble from ScrapArtist.com. The kit was given away at a chat I attended last night and then we were asked to use the kit and post the finished on the sites gallery. I actually completed this page in 20 minutes and had a good time doing it.

I really love have this page turned out - it's busy, yes, but I think it captures how much exploring there is to do when you are three.

Sweet Love

Credit: Kit is Sweet Shoppe by Robin Carlton

Journaling reads:

You looked like such a big girl sitting up all by yourself. I was really having fun watching you pull fist fulls of grass, examine them and then, ever so carefully put the grass in your mouth to see what it tasted like.
What a joy you are to us!

This is Kelton in the box that he fashioned into a car. This simple box, costing no more than $1.98 brought hours and hours of joy to our home. Well worth the cost, if you ask me. :)
